Welcome to the Website for the ACVV P.E. South

The mission of ACVV P.E. South is to develop, support & sustain disintegrated family units within poverty-stricken communities by the deliverance of strength based and capacity building programmes. ACVV PE SOUTH is a Family Care Organisation and was established by volunteers on 14 April 1927. The ACVV PE SOUTH is one of seven branches in Port Elizabeth. It is a non-political welfare organization and does not discriminate against religion, race, gender or creed. The mandate of ACVV P.E. South is to provide and facilitate effective and efficient service delivery to the vulnerable groups of society, the poorest of the poor, the marginalized and the disadvantaged groups in the working area. In 2009 we reached over 10 000 needy people through counselling, workshops, community projects and functions, awareness campaigns, social work and family reunification, community outreach and helping through emergency relief care among many other services.

Our food, funds and emergency stocks are very low! We have an extremely large service area and the demands of the community grow every day. We are in need of funding and food stuffs in particular. We have many vital projects currently running which feed over 110 children and adults on a daily basis and they would suffer severely if we ran low on food. We also offer substantial emergency relief packages, as most of our clients come out of the Walmer Township and have nowhere else to go.
PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY!!!
